There are no exposed metal parts on the unit or the charging base, just a plastic. The other unit was used for approx. 2 weeks but is in near new condition.

One of the units is brand new, never used. Each unit comes with Airfloss unit that is filled with water or mouthwash to spray through the nozzle two nozzles for use with the unit a carrying case that holds the unit and nozzles in addition to the two sets of units there is a charging base that the units are set on top of to charge.
